- 01Eligibility is primarily determined by your nationality (the passport you hold). We categorize applicants into two main groups. Citizens of Group A countries (such as the USA, UK, Canada, and EU nations) can apply directly. You can find the definitive and updated list of these 60+ nations on our Saudi Arabia E-Tourist Visa page. If your country is not in Group A, you may still be eligible under specific conditions as a Group B applicant.
- 02The classification determines your application path: Group A (Direct Eligibility): Citizens of countries like Albania, Australia, and Germany only need their national passport to apply. Group B (Conditional Eligibility): Citizens of countries such as India, Pakistan, and Egypt can apply for an E-Visa ONLY IF they hold a valid residence permit from the US, UK, or EU, or a used tourist/business visa from the US, UK, or Schengen Area. For a full breakdown of these categories, please visit our Visa Types and Prices page.
- 03Yes. Under the Saudi Visa Waiver scheme, if you hold a permanent residence permit from the United States (Green Card), United Kingdom (BRP), or any EU country, you are eligible to apply for the E-Visa regardless of your original nationality. This also applies to valid residence holders from GCC countries (UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, etc.). Ensure your residency is valid for at least 6 months at the time of application.
- 04Yes, strictly. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of your intended entry into Saudi Arabia. If your passport expires in less than 6 months, your application will be rejected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) system. We recommend renewing your passport before starting your Saudi E-Visa application.
- 05If you hold dual citizenship, you must apply using the passport of the eligible country. For example, if you hold both a Pakistani (Group B) and a Canadian (Group A) passport, you should use your Canadian passport to ensure a direct and faster approval process. You must then use that same Canadian passport to enter the Kingdom. Always apply with the document that offers the best Saudi Arabia E-Visa eligibility terms
- 06While a Visa on Arrival is an option for some, we strongly advise applying for your Saudi Arabia E-Visa online through our portal before departure. Obtaining your visa in advance prevents long queues at Saudi airports and ensures you are not denied boarding by the airline. Our Urgent Express Visa service can even provide your approval in under 24 hours, giving you total peace of mind before you fly.
- 07Only citizens of GCC countries—Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates—enjoy visa-free entry to Saudi Arabia using their National ID or Passport. All other nationalities, including those in Group A and Group B, must obtain an E-Visa or a Consular Visa. You can check the specific requirements for your nationality on our Umrah E-Visa or Tourist Visa pages.
