Saudi Arabia Umrah E-Visa: Official Eligibility & Application Guide (2026)

Last updated: January 2026 – Based on current Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) regulations.

Welcome to the modern era of pilgrimage. The Saudi Arabia Umrah E-Visa has revolutionized the way Muslims around the world connect with the Holy Cities of Makkah and Madinah. Gone are the days of lengthy embassy visits and complex paperwork.

As part of the Kingdom's "Vision 2030," citizens of over 60 eligible countries can now obtain their travel authorization completely online. This digital gateway grants you a Multiple Entry Visa valid for 1 year, allowing for stays of up to 90 days to perform spiritual retreats (Ziyarah), visit family, and explore Islamic history.

Group B: Conditional Eligibility

Citizens of the countries listed below are eligible for an E-Visa ONLY IF they meet specific additional criteria. This path is often used by pilgrims and tourists living in the West or GCC.

Mandatory Conditions for Group B: You must meet one of the following conditions to apply online:

  • Hold a valid Tourist or Business Visa from the USA, UK, or Schengen Area that has been used at least once (stamped) to enter the issuing country.

  • Hold Permanent Residence in the US, UK, or any EU country.

  • Hold a valid Residence Permit from a GCC country (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, UAE) with a "Professional" job title. Restricted Jurisdictions & Sanctions Policy: In strict compliance with UK (OFSI), UN, and international (OFAC) sanctions and regulations, Migraglobal Soluciones LTD does not provide services, process payments, or accept e-visa applications from citizens or residents of restricted, sanctioned, or high-risk jurisdictions. This includes, but is not limited to: Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Russia, Belarus, Afghanistan, Yemen, and specific restricted regions of Ukraine (Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk). Any orders originating from or associated with these jurisdictions will be automatically cancelled and refunded.

MANDATORY VERIFICATION & PROOF OF TRAVEL

Merely possessing a valid US, UK, or Schengen visa is NOT sufficient. To process your application under Group B, you are strictly required to provide undeniable documentary evidence of its prior use.

  • Document Request: During the document verification stage, our specialists will explicitly request a clear, scanned copy of the physical entry stamp placed by border control in your passport, proving you have entered the issuing country at least once.

  • Failure to Provide Proof: If you apply under Group B but fail to submit this requested stamped proof, or if you provide fraudulent documents, your application will be immediately suspended. As per our Refund Policy, no refunds will be issued for applications halted due to the applicant's failure to meet and prove these mandatory government criteria.

⚠️ Crucial Requirement: If you are from a Group B country but do not hold a valid US, UK, Schengen, or GCC document (or cannot prove its prior use), you cannot use the online E-Visa system. You must apply for a standard Visa through a licensed travel agent or the nearest Saudi Embassy.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I perform Hajj with this E-Visa?

No. The Umrah E-Visa is strictly for Umrah, tourism, and family visits. It is not valid for Hajj. Performing Hajj requires a specific Hajj Visa allocated through official quotas or the Nusuk Hajj platform. Attempting Hajj on an E-Visa carries severe penalties.

Do I need a Mahram (Male Guardian)?

No. The Kingdom has officially removed the Mahram requirement. Women of all ages from eligible countries can apply for an Umrah E-Visa and travel alone or in groups without a male guardian.

Is the Meningitis Vaccine mandatory?

While you may not always be asked to upload the certificate during the online application, Saudi health regulations strongly recommend the Meningococcal Meningitis (ACWY) vaccine for all pilgrims. We advise carrying your vaccination card to avoid issues at border control.

What if my visa is rejected?

Rejections are rare for eligible applicants. However, ensure your data matches your passport exactly. Common errors include typos in the passport number or uploading a low-quality photo.
